Project Hope

Project Hope provides ministry outreach and offers assistance to those struggling to ensure basic needs are met. 

Mobile Food Pantry
The ministry’s food pantry enables clients to select the food their families will use. There’s also a mobile food pantry providing food to families within Barrington and Carpentersville School Districts 220 and 300. Shelter, transportation, utility and other assistance are also available to qualifying families. Families using the ministry’s food pantries are required to complete a comprehensive intake process to verify need.
 
House of Hope Resale Store
All of the ministry’s outreach efforts are supported by its funding arm, the House of Hope Resale Store, located in Lake Zurich. The House of Hope is an upscale resale shop offering fine clothing, shoes, jewelry and furniture, among other items. The store provides the bargain and value hunter a boutique-like experience with the best selection of reasonably priced merchandise. Donations are accepted directly at the store, but furniture donations can be picked up free of charge. Proceeds go directly to Project Hope.
 
Gifts & Grants
Saint Anne Hope Ministries also works to extend its outreach by offering gifts and grants to partners also helping those in need. Last year, Project Hope gave seven grants to organizations that helped provide food and support to thousands. Additionally, gifts and donations were provided to other charitable organizations supporting children, families and older adults in need of food, clothing and other support.
 
Last year, the ministry provided 30,000 services to people in need. And while that number also represents some individuals and families who have been served multiple times month-over-month, the number underscores the difficulty many continue to have in simply supporting the basic need for food and shelter today.
 
The success of the ministry can be directly tied to the cadre of more than 250 caring and generous volunteers dedicated and committed to helping others in the community. Their time and talent give Saint Anne Hope Ministries the ability to provide our neighbors in need with the assistance needed to make a difference.

Client Intake

 Project Hope can directly help individuals and families in crisis in the Barrington area through referral and emergency services.  The Project Hope office staff is comprised of volunteers that assist the Office Manager one or more days of a week (M-TH, 9 am-4pm, Fri, 9 am-3 pm).
